Thoughtful Thursdays

Think about it…

  • Journaling

Journaling is a great way to get out your thoughts and feelings. It can be just for your eyes only or it can be fun to share with our friends!

  • Interdependence

Interdependency is when living and non-living things depend on one another. Think about how many people you depend on each day. How many people did it take to get your dinner to you today?

  • Brain Teasers

Practice thinking outside of the box by creatively solving some riddles, puzzles, and optical illusions!

Journal Challenge Of the week:

Describe and draw your happy place.

What does it look like? Smell like? Who is there? what do you do there? Where is it? What’s the temperature there? What do you eat there? What makes you happy about this place?

Interdependence

Interdependent means that two or more things depend on each other to survive. They NEED each other.

We are interdependent on so many things to get our food, our resources, and more. How many people did it take for you to get the to this website? (How many people did it take to build the computer, design it, program it, ship it, deliver it? how many people did it take to get you access to the internet? To get the images, and information online for you access not to mention discover and research the information.. and so much more! The people of the world are more connected than we may think… We all NEED each other!

Brain teaser of the week:

A farmer is traveling with a fox, a goose, and a bag of beans. During his journey, he comes across a river with a boat to cross it.

The farmer can only fit one thing in the boat with him at a time. If left alone together, the fox will eat the goose or the goose will eat the beans. How does the farmer get everything across the river safely?

Which Switch

There are three light switches outside of a room-- labeled number one, number two, and number three. The door to the room is closed and you can’t see in. All three switches are off.

You need to figure out which switch belongs to which bulb. You can use the switches however you want to, but can only enter the room once. How do you do it?
